Neely Bruce is a professor, composer, conductor, pianist and scholar of American music as well as chorus director for the Connecticut Opera and co-director of music at South Congregational Church in Middletown, CT.

His compositions include over 700 works including opera, orchestral music, works for piano and other keyboards, electronic music, and over 300 solo songs. Recent works include short pieces for piano, a commission for St. Bartholomew’s in New York City, and a choral setting of the Bill of Rights. His largest work, CONVERGENCE, commissioned by the American Composers Forum, premiered at the New Haven International Festival of Arts and Ideas and was later performed at Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors.
